Sample Brand A printed lawn 3-piece review, after five washes
Published

Wait for the sale. The print is sharp and the lawn feels fine for the price, but the medium runs about an inch small in the chest and the chiffon dupatta lost a shade of colour by the third wash.
I bought this at full price, PKR 8,990, and had it stitched by my usual tailor in a straight-cut shirt with cigarette trousers. I wore it to the office three times and washed it five times between 20 and 28 September.
Fabric
The lawn is lighter than the brand’s other summer lines I have bought. Holding it up to a window, I could see my hand through a single layer. The trousers needed a lining for office wear.

Fit and sizing
My medium measured 20 inches flat across the chest and 40 inches long. The brand chart lists 21 inches for a medium. If you are between sizes, go up one. I explain how I check a chart before ordering in how to read a Pakistani size chart from the UK.

Wash test
I washed it on a cold 30 °C cycle with a colour catcher. The first wash turned the catcher pale green. The shirt length dropped half an inch after wash one and held after that. The dupatta was visibly lighter next to the unwashed swatch by wash three.

Who should buy it
Buy it in the end-of-season sale if you want an easy office suit and you are happy to line the trousers. Skip it if you need a dupatta that keeps its colour.

Questions
Should I size up in this suit?
Yes, if you are between sizes. My medium measured 20 inches flat across the chest, about an inch under the brand's chart.
Does the dupatta bleed in the first wash?
Mine left a faint green tint on the water in the first cold wash and none after that.
